Safety and itinerary route:

Rule of thumb and recommended that Carrier to send itineraries to driver latest 24hrs before the starting time for the route, that allows driver to manage the sleeping time required by MTO. Driver has the right to decline last minute run, if the sleeping time is not prepared for the starting time for the route and in compliance with the MTO regulation.

 

Safety and monetary matter:

Diver does not collect or safe keeping cash money for or on behalf of carrier. If such incident occurred driver has to collect from tour guide money owing to carrier, 10% will be applied. No warranty whatsoever about safekeeping of the money, in any event of incident for total loss.

 

Clarification:

Overnight rate is applied, when there is passenger on board after 9PM.

 

Driver on payroll:

When the schedule is fixed, repetitive, during the monthly payroll period. Work or no work, employer shall determine the fix payroll amount, fixed sequence for the month.

 

Driver as independent contractor:

Driver intake work to drive for the employer and establish an invoice for the charter that has been assigned.

Invoice is to add taxes HST on top of committed rates. Gratuity is at standard industry, where Tour guide shall give at discretionary directly to the driver.

Statutory Holidays do have a flat fee surcharge of $175

 

Surcharge incident:

Carrier may be charged for incident that occurred at no fault of driver, from the delay, behaviors, socializing of the passengers, or misguided direction, instruction from tour guide. Including use of alcohol without prior possession of permit, group lunch on board while bus is in motion, request deviation from the initial itinerary beyond boundary limit without prior approval from dispatcher, cause of overtime without carry over reduction, not limited to any incident that may cause unsafe to the driver and suspending of the bus from driving at the rate of $25/hr, plus any fine that may occurred due to violation of overtime.

Schedule availability:

Each schedule of availability is updated and posted on top right corner of the box, for the month.

Employer shall log in www.groupbui.com/hc  from time to time, before asking to lock his/her booking. Driver cannot confirm any booking that is not available.

*Any cancellation, shall confirm 3 days in advance. Abuse cancellation will be charged $60 for the day. Cancellation dedicated color windows, will leave OPEN to any EMS (emergency driver back up/stand by) or anyone else to book on call.

EMS rate is per hour on payroll and conventional employee standard as agreed, minimum shift is 8hrs compensation. Do not call for EMS as driver backup for broke down, if you are not willing to fill the 8hrs shift compensation.

 

Locked position:
Once your booking is confirmed. It will be posted and locked. You are sure that your job charter will be executed. We do not take order from public, only from bus transportation company.

Fairness:

The schedule is posted from time to time and updated, as soon as we acknowledged the job order within 24 to 48hrs. Safety video is posted at Tour guide choice of language. Tour guide is recommended to contact bus transportation for booking the bus, not the driver. DO NOT CONTACT driver for booking the bus.

 

Surcharge (amendment 23/10/2016):

Surcharge for (OT) overtime and/or Fine for overtime (min.$500) by DOT or MTO may applied to carrier, for careless and reckless tour guide or organizer.

Surcharge and/or Fine for using alcohol on board without prior notice or permit for special event. Surcharge may applied to carrier, for careless and reckless organizer.

Cross border entering into the USA: Maximum driving time is 10hrs, from start of opening log to end closing of log book. The rules of territory (DOT), where the bus is located applied.

Cross border and entering into CANADA: Maximum driving time is 13hrs, from start of opening log to end closing of log book. The rules of territory (MTO), where the bus is located applied.

Carrier is aware not to book order, if suspicious of any cause of overtime, violate rules of (DOT or MTO), safety, that may cause a surcharge.

Driver accidental benefit:

You don't have to worry about driver accidental benefit. Our driver is covered under private plan for any accidental driver's body injury, if you have choosing as "invoicing job order". Less WSIB risks will be weighted on your company.

 

Commercial vehicle operator:

Driver intakes only bus transportation company work order, that maintains mechanically safe and sound commercial vehicle with proof of liability insurance, for driver and passengers. Driver is not responsible what bus broke down for any reason during the trip, at no driver fault.

 

DOT compliance Apr.2016:

Under Federal rules DOT mandatory that Bus company is responsible to book alcohol and drug testing randomly on driver, for any US trip with certificate under their name.
